The Always Nourished Approach: Three Key Components

Cooking with Confidence

Cooking & meal prep doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. My goal is to help teach you how to prepare simple and nourishing meals that you & your loved ones will love.

I’ve had the pleasure of completing professional culinary training in four countries - and, no… that doesn’t mean I’ll be sending you extravagant, complex recipes (unless you want those, of course). Instead, I’ll help you find simple ways to create chef-approved dishes that fuel your performance & recovery so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time doing what you love.

In the Always Nourished Athletes app, you’ll find a collection of simple recipes, meal prep tips, and cooking videos that make cooking enjoyable and accessible.

Science-Based Nutrition Education

Within the app, you’ll find PDFs and educational tools that explain evidence-based nutrition strategies to support recovery, performance, and general health. From there, our community will empower you to experiment with what feels best in your body, and what works best for your lifestyle.

In other words: science-based information forms the base - but YOU choose what way-of-eating works best for your body.

We encourage a food-first approach to nutrition, including an emphasis on whole foods, balanced meals, and mindful eating practices that support your energy, health, and long-term wellbeing.

P.S. Rest assured, we’re not a fan of restrictive eating or fad diet trends… Instead, we provide science-backed educational materials to help you make informed choices for your body.

Thrive with Behavioural & Lifestyle Supports

Our behaviours and lifestyle play a big role in how we approach food and support our overall health. We consider important factors that may affect an athlete’s food choice such as: budget, training schedule, cultural foods, emotional eating challenges, food preferences, GI discomfort, accessibility to food, and more. Addressing these factors is essential in building a sustainable path forward.

We also explore other “pillars of health” as an athlete including: sleep, stress relief, social network, and recovery. A journey to optimal performance and health isn’t solely based on what you eat - it’s about how we continue to support ourselves through various “pillars” of wellness.

As we “get curious” about what works best for our lifestyle & behavioural strategies that support our journey, we keep one message top-of-mind: self-reflection is the key to all sustainable change. As an athlete, you’ll face many hurdles - all of which will likely require an individualized solution. We’ll help guide you towards reflecting on what works for your lifestyle, finding the foods that feel best in your body, adapting to challenges, and developing a “tool-box” of strategies that support you in your recovery, health, and performance.

  • Yes, you may cancel your subscription at any time. However, we will only allow 100 participants in the community at one time to ensure our members are supported and heard.
